We believe the arts and creativity have an essential role to play in the growth and maturity of the Body of Christ. They are gifts that God gave us so that–among other things–we might love people more effectively and worship God more completely.
We believe that every local church–regardless of size or perceived influence–can and should investigate how God would move through the arts and creativity in and through their congregation. We aspire to provide resources for artists and churches who are on that journey.
Some of the most effective resources we provide are in-person events; gatherings bursting with ideas, creativity and connections.
We call these The Creative Church Arts Conferences.
Every other summer The New Renaissance Arts Movement partners with the Indy Vineyard Church and VineArts Boise to present these two exciting arts conferences in Indianapolis and Boise.
The video recordings of these events are available for download on our Vimeo page.
The Creative Church Conferences are unique events, featuring inspiring national speakers, engaging discussions, practical workshops and plenty of creative refreshment.
Makoto Fujimura, Rory Noland, Dr. Colin Harbinson, Theresa Dedmon, Cameron Anderson, Jason Leith, J. Scott McElroy, Manuel Luz, Jessie Nilo, DeAnn Roe, Scott Erickson, Joe Boyd, Beth Booram, Kyle Ragsdale, Joanna Taft, Dave Blakeslee, Bryn Gillette, Andrew Nemr, Randall Flynn, Luke McElroy, and more.
In 2016 our Indianapolis Creative Church Conference ran June 3-5 and our Boise Creative Church Conference went July 28-31. The two conferences were similar and share some presenters, but many of the speakers are unique to one site. Generally, the Indianapolis conference has a stronger focus on arts leaders and Boise caters to individual artists, but you’ll find a good mix at both events.
